I'm trying to get back to doing some super "manga" style stuff for this summer, I also want to get some fanart pieces done, just for the hell of it!

so i've started working again, full swing

i kind of hit a low ebb with my art for a while.. but i've started looking at different ways of drawing

i saw this image in my mind a while ago and have been working around with it for a while... i had a few solutions, but the werent working as i had visualised, sometimes it just doesnt work..

i'm kind of liking this though.. its a little different to my usual stuff, with the digital element added in.

its still a bit rough, i want to re-photograph the drawn image tomorrow in better light so you can see the pencil strokes. hopefully it'll be less muggy.




overall, its a style i quite like working with, i like the flat shapes juxtaposed with the simple pencil... i want to try and experiment with it a bit more.

i also want to look at the basics of human emotion, i dont see any other reason for art really... for me, art is emotion, so i really want to get that across.



so hopefully i'll have a few more in this style in the next few weeks or so.







In other news, i got a new final fantasy vii!!! delighted! my old one was so scratched it could barely read! so thats going to keep me happy for...well..the rest of my life! (until i need to buy a new one anyway!)
